Grep the Lucky was one of a trio of goblins that approached the West Side Six for help with their Chieftain's curse. Yek the Tall had came into possession of a circlet that changed him into a human and warped his mind... or so Grep and his friends believed. Grep helped the adventurers gain access to Yek the Tall by clearing his antechamber of other goblins, allowing the adventurers to do their work. Unfortunately their attempts of talking Yek into handing over his circlet failed and combat ensued. Yek was cured of his curse alright; death is the great cure-all. This was a fact that Grep and his fellow goblins were spared when the adventurers pulled off a convincing charade with the aid of magic. They led Grep and all the other goblins to believe that Yek would travel with them to the surface to have a special wizard lift his curse. Erhi in the guise of Yek placed Grep in charge in his absence. When the adventurers returned some weeks later without a cured Yek, Grep began to realize that his chieftain was gone for good; a state of affairs he enjoyed as the new chieftain. So Grep, with his new consort Glom, run the goblin bazaar as it once was; a neutral market for all.
