Born and raised in the Principality of Erewan, Radriel has known much sorrow in her life. Nevertheless, she has muddled her way through, confident that the future holds good and heroic things for her. Radriel learned the arts of wizardry from her mother, while her father taught her to hunt with a bow and defend herself with a scimitar, the traditional weapon of choice among the Erewan elves. Both crafts gave her vital skills, it turned out, she was forced to use them in defense of her village when humanoid raiders from the Principality of New Kolland struck. Every time the foul invaders returned, the elves managed to chase them off. Radriel's parents decided she should go to Glantri City to learn all she could at the Great School of Magic. Once she has gained enough power, hopefully she can better help her people in their ongoing struggle.
During her tenure as a student at the Great School of Magic Radriel caught the eye of someone named the Headmaster. He summoned her to a place beneath the school and she found herself teleported to a strange new area called the Dweomercore. Here she was to be evaluated to learn the "hidden arts" as the Headmaster told her. Though during her stay at the Dweomercore she was treated more like a servant. After a time, the Headmaster informed her that she had failed in her studies and for her failures he baleful polymorphed her into a chicken. That was the last thing she remembered until being rescued by The West Side Six.
